9th January 1850, the birth of Charles ARNOLD, son of William and Hannah ARNOLD at Orchard Place St. Dunstans. (unfortunately no house number was listed on the certificate)

The 1851 Census shows that at 5 Cross Street, St. Dunstans:
William Burville ARNOLD (born Flushing, British Subject), his wife Hannah (born St. Margarets, Kent) and children - Hannah, Bathsheba, John, Michael, James, George, Charles

William's occupation was listed as "landed proprietor" but the year before this, on his son Charles' birth certificate his occupation was shown as Book keeper at the Rail Road Office.

This family departed London 25 July 1851, and arrived in Australia on 17 December 1851
