George SMITH was born c. 1830 in Canterbury George SMITH married Harriet ANDREWS from Bekesbourne, the couple had 11 children. * In 1858, at the birth of his daughter Maria Rosa SMITH he was noted as Cricketer (does anyone know anything of his career?) No. 2 Ivy Lane. 1861 George SMITH, Photographic Artist, age 28, with wife Harriett Smith age 21, daughter Maria R. Smith, 2 years, son Thomas John Smith, age 6 months After this he is noted as a photographer, and a some time a dealer in second hand clothes and antiques. * 1871 No. 16 Notley Street, George Smith age 41, Photographer, Harriett Smith wife age 31, Maria R Smith age 12 scholar, Thomas John Smith son age 10, scholar, William H.
