~ KING STREET CEMETERY ~

KING STREET, CANTERBURY

Located beside No. 20 King street and used as an "open space".

No. 20 is a listed building and is owned by the Kings School. The other side of the building is the old Jewish Synagogue.

There were five tomb stones located there at one time. The five stones were unreadable.

Given to the Corporation on November 17, 1937 to be used as open space (public access).

Monuments moved to the boundary walls "in perpetuity"

1957 grassed over as a childrens playground. Also used as a parking space.
